Program Overview

The Ph.D. programme at HBTU is designed to cultivate advanced research skills and in-depth knowledge in cutting-edge areas of science, engineering, technology, and management. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications in the relevant discipline:

For Engineering/Technology Streams:

• M.Tech./M.E. with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/CPI
• OR B.E./B.Tech. with 75% marks or equivalent
• OR B.E./B.Tech. with 70% marks plus 10 years of professional experience
• OR MCA with 55% marks for Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering

For Chemical Technology Streams:

• M.Tech./M.E. or M.Sc. in relevant field with minimum 55% marks
• OR B.E./B.Tech. with 75% marks
• OR B.E./B.Tech. with 70% marks and 10 years of experience

For Basic Sciences and Management:

• Master’s degree (M.Sc./MBA/MA) in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/CPI

Fellowship & Assistantship Opportunities

Eligible full-time Ph.D. scholars may receive institutional fellowships or teaching/research assistantships, subject to availability and university norms. Scholars with valid GATE/NET scores may be prioritized for financial assistance. Fellowship recipients are expected to contribute to teaching or research work as assigned.
